Stephanie is a patent agent at Ridout & Maybee LLP in the firm’s Toronto office. Stephanie assists clients in the preparation, prosecution, and analysis of Canadian and United States patent applications and industrial design applications. Stephanie’s practice focuses on the electrical and computer-related arts with particular experience in the fields of wireless communication technologies and computer-based measurement and automation. Stephanie has considerable experience working with clients to obtain patent protection in foreign jurisdictions.
Stephanie began her career in intellectual property in Canada before moving to the United States, where she practiced as a technical consultant with a prominent U.S. intellectual property firm. She recently returned to Canada to resume her career as a patent agent. Before beginning her career in intellectual property, Stephanie worked as an electrical engineer with IBM Canada, ATI Technologies (now AMD Canada) and Nortel Networks.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc.E.) degree in Mathematics and Engineering (Electrical option).
