Mala Joshi has been invited to sit on the OSPE (Ontario Society of Professional Engineers Research and Innovation Task Force for a two-year term until 2013. The purpose of the task force is to:

1. Encourage government to increase public funding for the commercialization of engineering research, particularly among the private sector; and
2. Propose solutions for stimulating engineering innovation.
