Janet Fuhrer wins the election for incoming Second Vice-President of the CBA

Apr 26 2013

Janet Fuhrer, a (former) partner in the firm’s Ottawa office, has won the election for incoming Second Vice-President of the Canadian Bar Association. The position is the first step on the ladder to the national presidency, a post she will assume in August 2015. CBA President Robert Brun, QC, made the announcement on March 21 following a national CBA Council election. Ninety-three per cent of Council members voted in the two-way race between Janet and the other candidate.

A CBA member since 1985, Janet currently chairs the National Practice Development Committee, and is a past chair of National Sections Council. She is a partner at Ridout & Maybee LLP.

The firm is proud and excited about Janet’s appointment and fully supports her work with the CBA.

Congratulations Janet!
