Christine WongPartner - Patent Agent
Christine Wong is a partner and patent agent at Ridout & Maybee LLP in the firm’s Toronto office. Her practice includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications for the Canadian, U.S. and European patent offices. She has experience in the areas of medical devices, electrical and biomedical engineering, photonic crystals, software and computer-related devices, database management software and mechanical devices.
Christine’s graduate research at the University of Michigan focused on the biomechanics of human walking, specifically the cognitive control of lateral balance and the effects of aging. Her research was supported by a full Regents Graduate Fellowship. She has also conducted research on motion-correction and image-processing algorithms for fMRI and MRI data acquisition at Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Sciences Centre.
In a previous role as an engineer, Christine worked in the research and development of electrosurgical medical devices, including catheters and guidewires.
