Tim Bourne is an associate with Ridout & Maybee LLP in the firm’s Ottawa office. His practice covers a range of intellectual property areas including trade-mark and patent drafting and prosecution as well as advising clients on domain names and licensing.  Tim represents Ridout & Maybee LLP clients before the Federal Court and Trade-marks Opposition Board.

Tim's patent experience principally relates to mechanical technologies, including oil treatment, waste transport, and construction.

Prior to his call to the Bar, Tim clerked with the Federal Court of Canada. He has also worked with Industry Canada's Intellectual Property Policy Directorate, and an intellectual property law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
