Jason Leung is an IP Lawyer/Director at Ridout & Maybee LLP in the firm’s Toronto office.  His practice is directed to the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and trademark applications. He also provides clients with patentability, infringement, validity and trademark registrability opinions. In 2012, Jason was the first Canadian lawyer to be honoured by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association as one of their “Best Lawyers Under 40”.

Jason is a current author of the Canada chapter in the Kluwer Manual of Industrial Property and has written many legal articles published in Canadian Lawyer Magazine and Precedent Magazine.

As Ridout & Maybee LLP’s Director of Knowledge Management, Jason oversees a broad range of Knowledge Management activities for enhancing the firm’s level of service and efficiency. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he also manages special projects to upgrade the firm’s legal services operations. 

Jason is a Founding Member and Past President of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, an organization dedicated to fostering advocacy, community involvement, legal scholarship and professional development by Asian Canadian legal professionals. He currently serves on the boards of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association and LibraryCo Inc.
