Steve K. S. Hundal – shundal@ridoutmaybee.com 

Steve is an articling student in the Toronto office of Ridout & Maybee, LLP, where he previously summered in 2011.  Steve received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012, and also holds a B.Eng. and a B.Sc., both from McMaster University.  Before deciding to pursue a career in intellectual property law, Steve was an accomplished engineer with extensive international experience in the telecommunications vendor space, particularly in the realms of Operations and Systems Integration Management.  Steve has primed global software deployments for telecommunications carriers in locations such as Ireland, Romania, Germany, and Canada, and, as manager for Solution Delivery for North America, the Caribbean, and Latin America, lead a team of engineers spanning these regions as well as EMEA and Asia Pacific.  Steve has also worked as a technical client manager in the e-Commerce industry, managing the technical aspect of client relations and SLAs for some of Canada's leading e-Retailers. 

Vanessa A. M. Komarnicki – vkomarnicki@ridoutmaybee.com

Vanessa is an articling student in the Toronto office of Ridout & Maybee LLP.  Vanessa obtained her J.D. at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law where she volunteered at Advocates for Injured Workers, a legal aid clinic representing injured workers in their dealings with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.  Previously, she graduated with honours from the Biomedical Option of Engineering Science at the university, and completed a Master’s degree in protein engineering at the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering.

Vanessa also plays the harp, and has performed as principal harpist with the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra and the University of Toronto Skule Orchestra, won the Royal Conservatory School Competitive Festival harp class, and participated in masterclasses given by Isabelle Moretti, Judy Loman, Elizabeth Hainen and Jana Bouskova.

Roy is an articling student in the Ottawa office of Ridout & Maybee LLP. Roy obtained his J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2011.  He received his M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business, York University in 2010, specialized in project management and strategy management.  Roy studied electrical engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University, China, receiving his B.Sc in 1996. He worked as an engineer in telecommunication industry, primarily in wireless field.

Roy speaks Mandarin and English.
